Grilled Asparagus

Ingredients Used:

  • Fresh Asparagus
  • Olive Oil
  • 2 tbs. Chopped Garlic (I cheated by using the kind that comes in a jar)
  • Salt, Pepper, Onion Powder (to taste)


  • Preheat outdoor grill (medium heat)
  • Wash and trim  asparagus
  • Place asparagus on baking sheet
  • Drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil
  • Add chopped garlic, salt, pepper, and onion powder
  • Place directly on grill until it reaches desired tenderness (turn over once half way to get nice light grill marks on both sides)  We cooked them about 5 mins each side, but you may want them crispier

Good For Me?

You betcha!  Asparagus is low in calories and rich in folate and potassium and a good source of Vitamin C!  I actually found an article that lists tons of crazy asparagus facts!  Check it out:


  • Finally, something good for you that tastes good too!  🙂  These were yummy!  I initially thought we’d have left overs…not a chance… These little grilled delights are all gone.
  • They had a nice grilled flavor and still had a little crunch to them–definitely adding this to my list of delish veggies!!

I am sure everyone has had asparagus before, but I’ve only eaten them out at restaurants…never made it at the house.  Well worth it!  Simple, Easy and Tasty–good combo!
